Rosemary Patterson

Rosemary Patterson, 82, of Columbus, died Monday, October 3, 2011. She was born in Columbus on November 26, 1928 to the late Robert and Lillie May (Long) Norris. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul AME Church. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, was active in PTA and other school activities and volunteered with March of Dimes. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Charles D. Patterson and her son Charles Christopher Patterson. She is survived by children Sharon Beatty, Sheila (Donald) Dennis, Shelley (Michael) Latham, Charles (Linda) Patterson II, Shannon (Robert) Watts, and Shauna Patterson, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, cousin Barbara Barnett and dear friend Hattie Painter. The family would like to thank all who cared for Rosemary and her family during her stay at Mount Carmel West Hospital. Family will receive friends Thursday from 10 AM until time of service at 12 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St.. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
