Roy Thurston Hannum

Roy T. Hannum, age 85, of Marengo, OH, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. He was born November 6, 1924 in Granville, Licking County. Roy proudly served in the United States Army during WWII, earning both medals and commendations from both the US and China. He was employed in his younger days in Alaska as a Salmon fisher and then worked for Jefferies Mining Manufacturing until he retired. Roy also served as Commander several times for the Marengo American Legion. Mr. Hannum was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Goldie Hannum, brother Ralph and wife Violet, and sister Helen. Roy is survived by his wife Margaret, daughter Suzanne Hannum Souder and her husband Daniel, grandson, Jason D. Bryan and great granddaughter, Sarah Sue Bryan. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, George, June, Ned, Patsy, Jerry, Larry, Judy, Joanne and their families, plus the families of his brother Ralph.
