Ruby K. Pollard

Ruby Kathryn Pollard nee Brigner passed away at age 89. Predeceased by husband of 48 years Harold Pollard. Ruby was a resident of Grove City for 65 years and a life-long member of the Grove City United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Society and the Rebecca Circle. Ruby worked at the Grove City Savings Bank for 20 years making friends of her "customers" and adding much to the small town atmosphere that was Grove City. Other activities included the Community Club and Child Conservation League. Always an energetic and enthusiastic worker, Ruby gardened, sewed, canned, and made Teddy Bears among other interests. Ruby leaves behind son Roger Pollard (Betsy) of Gilbert, Az, and daughter Dirinda Vallee of Mesa, Az.. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Heather (Steve) Martens, Andrea Vallee, and Zachary (Rachel) Pollard, as well as great-grandchildren Alec and Jared Martens, Leola Beverly (sister), and nieces. Jim and Glenna Ross and Frossy Hand

are among other loving family and friends. Thank you to mother's Care givers at the Carriage Courts in Grove City and Hilliard and to Vitas Hospice personnel, for their attentive, supportive care. Mother's journey was not easy these past years, but her spirit, love of family, belief in God, and willingness to be of service will forever remind us of the treasures found in every day life and love.
