Russell "Russ" Joseph Crouthers

Russell “Russ” Joseph Crouthers, age 79, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010. He was born on October 12, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Russell Henry and Edna Crouthers. Russ retired after 42 years from the White Castle Corporation where he was the Director of Meat Production and Operations. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughters, Leslie Sahhar and Deborah Peck; and brothers, Jack and Don. Survivors include his wife, Carmela “Millie” Crouthers; children, Michael (Shelly) Crouthers and Deanna Sue (Daniel) Stellfox; grandchildren, Brian, Lori, Jennifer, Matthew, and Danielle; and five great grandchildren. Russ was a member of Reynoldsburg Baptist Church and an avid football fan that especially enjoyed Saturday OSU Buckeye games. Russ always enjoyed a good meal at the Hickory House in Reynoldsburg. Family and friends may call Saturday, July 3, 2010, from 9:00AM until time of funeral service at 10:00AM at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Harley Murray officiating. Private interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russ’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Road
