Ruth Lillian Brown

Ruth L. Brown, age 90, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2012. Ruth was born and raised in Columbus. She graduated from Central High School, worked for a number of years for Ranco, and retired from North American Rockwell-The Boeing Company. She was an active member of the Hilltop Church of God, which was very important in her life. Ruth was always a sharp dresser and was known for her green thumb. She was an avid Buckeye fan, enjoyed bowling, reading, working puzzles, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She was preceded in death earlier this year by her son, Kenneth Bowman; survived by son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Sandy Bowman of Millersport; daughter-in-law, Sharon Bowman of NC; brothers, Paul (Shirley) and Larry (Essie) Landenberger; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. A funeral service for Ruth will be held at 12noon Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204 where family will receive friends from 11am-12pm; Rev. Greg Thorne and Rev. George Jordan, presiding; interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
