Ruth Ann Gonser, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. She was born on October 6, 1943 in Byesville, Ohio to the late Frances and Mabel Florence (Jeffers) Gant. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Hayes and Martha Damron and brother John Gant.
Ruth had many hobbies and loved gardening, animals, and watching sports. She belonged to many clubs and was active in her church for many years. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling and was an amazing aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Ruth will be greatly missed by her husband Galen Gonser, her sister Mary Behnke, and her many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. Interment at Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
