Ruth Ann Rehkopf

Ruth Ann Rehkopf, age 73, passed away June 22, 2011 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, Pennsylvania. Ruth was born in Reed City, Michigan, November 9, 1937, daughter of the late Rev. George and Marie Rehkopf. She moved with her family to Toledo, Ohio and Royal Oak, Michigan. After her father’s death, she and her mother moved back to her mother’s home in Columbus and then to Concordia. She will be greatly missed by her brother, Paul (Laura) Rehkopf; nephews, G.W. “Bill” (Carol) Rehkopf and Timothy (Mel Marquez) Rehkopf; great nephews, Adam and Steven Ensling, and Andrew Rehkopf; and great niece, Kathryn Rehkopf. She will also be mourned by her aunt Tess and all of her first and second cousins who made her early life in Columbus a full and happy one. Ruth spent many years at ARC, had wonderful memories of her home on Livingston and trip to Disney, as well as had many great friends in Columbus. She also enjoyed trips to the FARM in Canada. While there, her cousins, aunts, and uncles blessed her with their love and happiness to last a full year. While in Concordia, Ruth had legions of friends and caregivers who gave her the epitome of loving care and companionship for 15 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, June 27, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St., where family will receive friends from 2-6 P.M. Sunday. Rev. Larry Kudart officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
