Sallie will be profoundly missed by her children, David (Taylor Abercrombie) Gordon of Biloxi, MS, Samantha Gordon of Clover, SC, and Daniel (Melanee) Gordon Columbus, OH. Her loss will also be greatly felt by her siblings, Sandie (Rodney) Howard of Columbus, OH, Rebecca Lynn (Shane) Andrews of Delaware, OH, and Scott (Cynthia) Orr of East Liberty, OH. Sallie was a devoted grandmother, known as GiGi to her granddaughters, Violet and Lillian Gordon, who will surely miss the positivity and happiness their GiGi brought to their lives: also, several nieces and nephews & great nieces and nephews. Sallie was a tremendous friend to many, Dave Gordon and Stuart Davies, just to name a couple, considered themselves lucky to call Sallie their best friend.
Sallie was a 1976 graduate of Brookhaven Highschool in Columbus, Ohio. She was a long-time resident of Lake Wylie, South Carolina and loved by so many in the community. She worked at the Lake Wylie Liquor Store and considered her group of coworkers more than just colleagues. The Mugaveros, Louann Davis, and the rest of the Lake Wylie Liquor team were a second family to her that she cared for greatly. She found a place she belonged to in this community and in this group of beloved friends. She attended church for fellowship on Sundays at The Journey at Lake Wylie. When Sallie wasn't working, she would spend her days relaxing, laughing, and having fun on Lake Wylie with her long-term friends. She really loved the peace and tranquility of the lake.
In addition to her parents, Sallie was preceded in death by TJ Smith, who always held a special place in her heart.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM-1 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221.
