It was simply an honor to know Sally!  She was always a glass half-full kind of gal - very bubbly and full of joy - but to have seen her in her battle with cancer and how each day she fought with grace  and used her time to build memories and bring joy to so many.  I am in awe of her courage.  Wayne and I truly treasured our relationship with both John and Sally.  So sad that we are left so empty in the wake of such dynamic spouses.

Sally, was a very special lady I will always remember fondly. John has always  been a very good friend of mine throughout High School and afterward. John was a lucky guy to spend 46 years with such a loving, caring and wonderful lady. I remember taking Sally to the Jr. Prom and feeling I had a belle of the ball with me. Her Dad was our family physician and a really good doctor. She looked and acted so normal at the recent HHS 50 year reunion that I found it hard to believe she was so ill. It's people like Sally that make this world a great place and she will be greatly missed.   Charles (Chuck) Mitchell

I had the great good fortune to attend Hilliard High School with Sally and John, who always seemed made for each other, and she always had a glowing smile that seemed almost angelic.  I only had the opportunity to see them at the occasional High School reunion, but we always gravitated to one another.  They have both been in my prayers since I found out about her illness.  They are both deeply spiritual people and Sally will be welcomed as she travels on.  All who knew her will miss her in this world.  Both continue in my prayers.  Gregg Miklashek,MD(retired)

Had heard of Sally for years from her brother in law Jerry McAlister. . .met her a couple of years ago when we were privileged to enjoy an Ohio State- Michigan football game in John and Sally's new home! I was immediately stuck by Sally's warmth and hospitality! What a loss for us all but what an example of what we should be. . .I was a stranger and you took me in.

To John, family and friends, We will always remember Sally as a studious, quiet, but sometimes funny young lady. We grew up about 4 blocks apart, but rarely saw each other, except at school. Her dad was the school Dr. and gave physicles to all us guys who were going  out for sports. If I remember right, she played in the band. In walking down the halls, at school, she was always determined to get there. I think I was in the Service when Joker told me that she and John got married! I felt good for them, you. Your marrage has been a good life. Psalm 100:1 and 2 says,"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing." She was happy! You will never forget her! As you know, my Emily passed away 9 years ago last month. If you would want to talk, call me...... Jokers friend, Don Young

      My name is Allie Jarvie and I am 14years old, when I read this obituary I was truly touched about how caring Sally was as a person. I loved how sally cared about others and always tried to see things from there point of view. I am very sorry for your loss and wanted to share some encouraging thoughts from the bible. In (John 5:28,29) god promises us that there is going to be a resurrection, it says "do not be surprised at this for the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will here his voice and come out". Isn't that a wonderful hope that we will be able to see our dead loved ones again.There is  another hope that the bible promises that's in (Revelation 21:4) This scripture says" He will wipe out every tear from there eye and death will be no more." So its a nice hope for the future that we have of seeing our dead loved ones again and the promise of no more death.

I will always remember the wonderful friendship Millie & I had with you and John.
We enjoyed of course our bicycle trips and the  fun times we had with you & John Hiking the Smokies.
You will always be remembered for your kindness.
