Sally Williams

Sarah (Sally) Elizabeth Burba Williams, born April 8, 1930, died July 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Willcox Burba and George Francis Burba Jr., her sisters Constance Burba Trautman and Ann Burba Crane. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years Wallace Peter Williams, children Andrew (Robin) Williams, Timothy (Julie) Williams, Rebecca (Curt) Weiffenbach, grandchildren Drew (Katie), Mark (Emily) and Ted (Lindsey) Williams, Peter (Greer) and Ben Williams, Sarah, Eric and Carl “Dutch” Weiffenbach, great-grand daughter Marjorie Jane “Maggie” Williams, many nieces, nephews and friends. Sally was a graduate of The Columbus School for Girls and Ogontz Junior College, a member of the Junior League of Columbus (where she translated books to Braille for the vision impaired), and a longtime member of Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church. An avid golfer she was a member of Bent Pine Golf Club and The Columbus Country Club where she was a three time ladies golf champion. Sally was a wonderful homemaker to her husband and their three children and a favorite of her grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church, 333 South Drexel Avenue at 11:00 on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 with the Reverend Susan Smith and the Reverend Mark Williams officiating.
