Dear Jim and family,
So sorry to hear about the passing of the happiest and sweetest woman in the world! Sally always had a nice word to say about everyone and was such a  gracious, kind and generous host at she and Jim's fabulous parties. She'll be sadly missed by so many people as she knew no strangers. I do believe everyone loved her!

I am so sorry for your loss. Sally was like a member of our class--she knew everyone by name at the wonderful HS class reunions you two used to host. She will be missed by many. I will pray for you to have strength over the next months so that you may be happy remembering the happy times together, rather than being sad about the recent past and struggles Sally went through.

The final goodbyes we make to friends and family are the hardest realities to bear. We truly believe that the positive power of loving someone eventually offsets the pain of loss.  Sally and I shared many years with laughter..giggling until tears rolled down our faces,Jim and Jim patiently rolling their eyes. Sally was caring, generous,funny and ,as a team ,Jim and Sally enjoyed gathering and entertaining friends demonstrating genuine affection for others.  Sally will be missed.

The Aids and Nurses at Altercare are all at the desk talking about how wonderful Sally and Jim are. Sally brought so much happiness to our day. We all love her very much.

Dear Jim, Peter, Nancy and Jean,
We are sadded by the passing of Sally and extend to all you our love and sympathy. I thought of her many times passing the cottage this past summer when I knew she was ill.
There are lots of wonderful memories but especially her giggle. Also deep in my mind are the countless hours of rocking on the porch and doing needlepoint.

     We just received the notice of Sally's death from CBC, and extend sincere condolences to you all.     I have such fond memories of summers at CBC where Sally was a big part of "our group"  -- her voice and laugh still ring in my memories.
    We will soon be at CBC, and will walk by "the Kauffman cottage" and raise a snowball (or something) in her honor.

I wanted to take a moment to offer my condolences on your loss that you have at this time. After reading about Sally it was very clear that she volunteered much of her time helping others and bringing them much comfort. I thought I would share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible to bring all of you some comfort during this time. We can always turn God during these times, as he will comfort us during our tribulations. If you look at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 it says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God." So know that you can turn to God in prayer and find comfort in the scriptures at this time so you can not only be comforted yourself but also be able to do the same for others that may need it as well.
