

Ted was born Sept. 24, 1926 in Columbus, OH and was a long-time resident of both Whitehall, OH and Blacklick, OH.
He enjoyed the company of others, tending his garden, woodworking, travelling, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need.
Ted began independently working with a produce business and carpentry in 1945 and ultimately founded Ted Mangia and Son Construction, retiring in 2001.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Pacific Theater in both the Philippines and Japan. Ted was a former member of the Whitehall Knights of Columbus.
He is preceded in death by parents Onofrio and Cosima Matacia Mangia, daughter Mary Jo Hasskew, sisters Lucille Bailey and Josephine Kellerhof, and brothers Sam, Vincent, John, and Tony. Ted is survived by loving wife of 59 years, Lillian Mangia (Beltram), children Marc (Debbie) Mangia, Monica (Paul) Dinwiddie, Melissa (Ken) Craft, and Maureen (Michael) Kasinecz, brother Joseph (Betty) Mangia, and sister Rose Winkler; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH, from 3-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Saint Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, OH. Fr. Ryan Schmit, Officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, OH.
