Sandra Ann Bowers

Sandra was born January 14, 1939 in Columbus to the late Raymond Frances and Juanita Faye (Slates) Dauer. She was a graduate of Houghton Lake High School in Houghton Lake Michigan. She was married to John Carl Bowers for 40 years and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Westerville where she helped with the bereavement group. She also enjoyed spending time at the Westerville Senior Center playing cards and bingo. Above all, she loved her family and her cat Amy.

Sandra is survived by her children Laurie (Jorden) Almasande, Toni (Mike) DiCesare, Kathy (Fransisco) Gonzalez, Michelle Bowers and John Thomas (Tammy) Bowers; grandchildren Jenny Ann Bowers, Sean and Stephen Bosakounthong, Brandon Lee Sourintha, Amanda Kay (Will) Doane, Nalee Leuam Sourintha, LuLu Sourintha, Courtney Combs, Natalie Holcomb and Stella Bowers; great grandchildren Aaliyah Marie Sourintha, Kayliegh and Caden Custer, Ella Doane and Chiyanne Canady; brother Raymond L. Dauer and lifelong friends Gary and Cathy Miller.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son Michael Raymond Bowers and sister Carla Dean Slates.

Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8PM with a prayer service at 3:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed Thursday at St. Paul the Apostle, 313 N. State Street, Westerville at 10:30AM with Father Rod Damico officiating. Burial will follow at Mifflin Cemetery.
