

Sandra S. Holton, age 71, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 succumbed after a short time to a second bout of ovarian cancer. Sandy was born on October 3, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Marie Zellers. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Terry; sons, Ben and Barry; step-children, Penny Tarini and Mike Holton; sister, Judy Lord; several cousins; her doggie children, Moe and MiMi; and her kitty, Mikey. Sandy worked from the age of 15, including careers as an office manager of a commercial glass company, cook at assisted living facilities and worked in the bakery and meat departments of a local market. In the last 10 years, she had a pet sitting business. Sandy loved music, especially RandB, jazz, disco and Motown. In her 20s, she sang in a small band and was a tremendous dancer. Sandy crocheted many Afghans which adorn her home. She also was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Her family would like to thank Dr. Larry Copeland and his staff at the James Cancer Hospital for working so hard to save Sandy this time around and giving her an extra 22 years of life, with her first bout of ovarian cancer being in 1996. Sandy was a warm and caring person and will be missed by many.
