Sarah Houser

Sarah is survived by her loving family, parents; Franklin and Terrie Houser, siblings; Anthony (Katie) Miller, Melissa (Daniel) Stapleton, Rebecca (Joseph) Sallee, Lindsey (Chaz) Neil and Abigail (Travis) Gibbs, nieces and nephews; Andrew, Luke, Ryan, Matthew, Missouri, Michael, Nathaniel, Colton, Joseph, Adryauna “Alex”, Wyatt, Leland, Charles, Austin, Hataya, and Allie, many more nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins, along with many other dear family and friends.

Sarah is preceded in death by grandparents; Fannie and Arthur Miller, and Everette and Ivy Houser, uncle, Robert Miller, niece, Destiny Minshall and fur baby, Simmy.

Sarah graduated from Meigs High School in Pomeroy, Ohio, before continuing her education at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music. She went on to build a long and dedicated career with Nationwide in Columbus, Ohio.

A woman of deep faith, Sarah was a member of Ethos Church. She was a bright light in the lives of so many, always putting others before herself and making sure those around her felt supported, cared for, and loved. Sarah had a remarkable way of showing up for people wholeheartedly and generously, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Family meant everything to Sarah, and she especially treasured time spent with all of the “littles” in her life. In her free time, she loved to sing and shared her beautiful voice with others whenever she could. She also had a passion for travel, including backpacking through much of Europe, and later in life discovered a great joy in line dancing.

Sarah will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made toward Sarah’s funeral services through Schoedinger East Funeral Home.

Family will be having private services for Sarah. Per Sarah’s wishes, invitations were extended to specific groups; however, anyone wishing to receive the information is welcome to contact Abbie Gibbs.
