

Sharon S. Cook, age 60, entered Heaven's gates on Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was born August 29, 1956 in Kansas City, MO to the late Lilburn and Helen Scott. Sharon is survived by her husband of 36 years, David Cook; daughter, Libby Cook; son, Chris (Hatsuho) Cook; grandchildren, Clara, James, and Isla; sister, Sharon (Tom) Kacala; and other extended family. Sharon graduated from Baylor University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree and from the School of Blood Bank Technology at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, TX in 1982. She has worked her entire career in the medical field, beginning in Houston and then at Children's Hospital in Columbus. For the last 14 years she worked at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, most recently as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Department of Pathology. Sharon has been an active member of St. Andrew Christian Church for many years as a leader in mission work for those in need and always willing to help with the music program. Her hobbies included flower gardening, bird watching, and playing the piano. A Memorial Service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Andrew Christian Church, 1985 Swansford Dr., Dublin, Ohio with Pastor Morgan Wickizer officiating, assisted by Chaplain Connie Long. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sharon's memory to Worthington Resource Pantry or The Homeless Families Foundation. A private inurnment will be held in Missouri at a later date.
