

Sharon Swinehart Dawson, 68 of Dublin, passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at OSU Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1949 to the late Dana and Miriam Swinehart. Sharon earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and went on to earn her post graduate degree from The Ohio State University. She taught in the Bexley School System for 17 years before becoming an Elementary Principal at Reynoldsburg, Hilliard and Newark Schools. She also was an Education Instructor at various branches of Ohio State University primarily at the Newark Campus. Sharon loved animals, particularly Basset Hounds and cats and was a firm believer in rescuing and providing a home for animals in need. She loved gardening and attending OSU Football games with her husband and various restaurants in the city. She is survived by her loving husband, John; brother George (Marilyn) Swinehart; mother in law, Charlotte Dawson; brother in law, Mike (Maureen) Dafoe-Dawson; sister in law Julie (John) King; several nieces and nephews. A casual memorial reception will be held 6-8 Thursday March 15 at The LAZY CHAMELEON 4028 Presidential Parkway Powell, Ohio 43065.
