

Sharon E. Sherrod, age 75, of Grove City passed away suddenly Monday, January 11, 2021. Sharon was born in Columbus to the late Ralph C. and Leona (Hope) Burgess. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin University and retired from J.P. Morgan-Chase after many years of dedicated service. Sharon loved her family dearly. She also loved her church family at Grove City United Methodist Church where she was a very active member. At church she participated in United Methodist Women, Hannah's Circle, Emmaus, Quilting and many other activities. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and a leader in the Campfire organization. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, arts and crafts, Bible studies, crime documentaries and reading. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William E. Sherrod, Sr., whom she married December 17, 1963; daughter Melinda; and brother Bruce Carter. Sharon is survived by her children Cindy (Ken) Dowden, Wendy (Chuck) Faught, William (Danielle) Sherrod, Jr., and Lauren Sherrod; grandchildren Nathan (Michelle) Perry, Katie Davis, Logan Sherrod, Gabrielle Sherrod; great-grandchildren Caeleb Redd and Carson Perry; sister Dona Riedmiller; brother Nick (Pam) Burgess; sister-in-law Karen Carter; brother-in-law Don Sherrod; good friend Harry Henthorne; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon's family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday, January 18th at Schoedinger Grove City 3920 Broadway. Guests are reminded to wear masks and social distance.
