Sharon Lou Thomas

Sharon Lou Thomas, 71, of Columbus, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at home. She was born October 18, 1939 in Columbus to the late Robert and Geraldine (Farrand) Jackson. She was a 1957 graduate of South High School where she participated in the Drama Club and school plays. She retired after twenty five years from Gates McDonald Insurance and was a member of First Apostolic Church of Dublin. She enjoyed reading religious non-fiction books, when her family was not keeping her busy and contemporary Christian music. She is preceded in death by her husband Rico Thomas, daughter Beth Ann Belcher and sister Joan Jackson. She is survived by three children Sheri Lynn (Dominic) Verrilli, Christina Rose West and Jodi Lea (Will) Green, seven grandchildren Anthony and Daniel Verrilli, Derek (Meghan) West, Brittney West, Justin Green and Silas and Seth Belcher and their father Darryl Belcher, great grandchildren Aidan and Jaxon West, two sisters Bonnie McGarvey and Shirley (Donald) O’Harra, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 12 PM.
