Shawn E. Richards

Shawn E. Richards, age 55, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia to Mary (Mahoney) Richards and the late Edward Richards, Jr. Shawn was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School, and he attended DeVry and OSU. Shawn was a service technician with Comcast/Insight for over 10 years. He enjoyed listening to music, woodworking, and doing home improvement projects. In addition to his father, Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazel and Steward Mahoney; aunt, Janice (Charles) Dunfee; uncles, James Mahoney and Neal Mahoney. He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Richards; aunts, Susan Mahoney, Sharon (Richard) Schottler, and Rosemary Mahoney; numerous beloved cousins and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation, the Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association.
