Shelley Ward Beck , age 60, passed away on Friday January 31, 2014 after a courageous fight against an extended illness. She was born on June 9, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard and Virginia Ward. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she was a proud Theta. During her career, Shelley was a Special Needs teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel J. Beck; sister Jan (Bob) Chambers; nephews Rick (Emma) Chambers, Jeffrey Dollinger and Sam (Valerie) Beck; nieces Jennifer Chambers and Sarah Beck; great-nephew Simon Dollinger; great-nieces Nina and Stella Chambers; sister-in-law Sue Beck; brother-in-law Chuck (Mary) Beck. She is also preceded in death by her brother Rick Ward; and niece Kristin Chambers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road in Upper Arlington. In lieu of any memorial gestures, Shelley asks that you do something nice for someone you love.
