Sherrie Supplee Brubaker

Sherrie Supplee Brubaker passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026. She was the daughter of Lloyd H. Supplee and Ione Bradford Supplee of Zanesville, Ohio. Besides her parents, Sherrie was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Donald E. Brubaker. Sherrie graduated in 1957 from Zanesville High School and from The Ohio State University, College of Commerce in 1961.

The first 13 years Sherrie was out of college, she worked in the corporate world. She was a trailblazer for women being accorded salaried status on the job. In 1973, she followed her college major by working in the real estate profession for 30 years as a sales and broker associate.

Sherrie retired from real estate in 2005 and spent the next several years writing family biographies for her first cousins. When her husband, Don, retired in 2008, they jointly became active members in Studio 55 at the Upper Arlington Senior Center. The Brubakers were avid SCRABBLE players and amazed their many friends at the Senior Center with the number of games they could play each year in their own personal tournament.

Sherrie enjoyed reading historical novels on the Founding Fathers and playing her keyboard. Her favorite music was songs from the 1940’s. Sherrie will be remembered by her friends for her composure, wit, and smile.

Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or memorial service. She will be placed beside her husband, Don, in Chapel B Mausoleum at Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
