Shirley Chaffin

Shirley Anne Chaffin, 68 passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 20, 1950 to the late Ernest and Arvella (Siders) Garrett in Pickaway County. Shirley was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was famous for her soft chocolate chip cookies and made the most delicious baked beans with her secret family recipe. Everyone loved Mom and Dad's Hamburgers. Shirley was very creative as a cook. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Lindy Chaffin I and her daughter Tammy McPherson. Left to celebrate her life are her children, Tracy (John) McClarren, Amanda (Mike) Culler and Lindy Chaffin II; grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha, Johnny, Tracy, Kayla, Joshua, Andrew, Trenton and Emily and two beloved great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to assist with the cost of Shirley's funeral. Donations may be given to Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home.
