Shirley Mae Marcum

Shirley Mae Marcum, age 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She was born in Dingess, West Virginia on December 27, 1940 to the late Rhine and Goldie Ott. Shirley retired from The Ohio State University after many years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by great granddaughter, Michelle; and siblings, Vivian, Richard, Paul, and Walter. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Silas "Ed" Marcum; children, Orlena Rose, Kathy (Jim) Arrowood, Patricia Marcum, Brian (Trish) Marcum, and Teresa (Jim) Miller; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Sarah, Violet, Mary, Alma, Delbert, and George; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ms. Bertha Dell. Friends may call on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER LINDEN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00AM. Pastor Curtis Booth officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
