Shirley S. Mason

Shirley Strickland Mason, age 85, of Upper Arlington, died Sunday, March 15, at Friendship Village of Dublin. Born June 23, 1929, in Elyria, OH to the late Hugh and Hazel Strickland in Elyria, OH. Survived by beloved husband of 65 years, Dr. James F. Mason; children, Bill (Kris) Mason, of Upper Arlington, and their children Jim, Mike and Mary; Tom (Donna) Mason, of Upper Arlington, and their children Jackie, Kelly, Will, and Lauren; Jayne (Cleve) Coldwater, of Clarks Summit, PA, and their children Mason, Connor, Dalton, and Hollis; Bob (Laurie) Mason, of Columbus, and their children Brooks and Mitch. Member and Past President of Childhood League and Assisting Board # 6. Long time member of First Community Church and Women’s Guild X. Member of Riverside Methodist Hospital Auxiliary Board. Nothing in her life was more important than her husband, family, and her beloved 13 grandchildren. Private entombment at Union Cemetery. Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 21, at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd. ., with Rev. James Long officiating.
