

Shirley was a 1951 graduate of South H.S. She served as a Corporal in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
She was employed as a bus driver for the Gahanna Public Schools for 27 years and also for Tri-Star Transportation for nearly 10 years.
Shirley was an active member of the Church of the Living Word and volunteered with their food bank. She was a soldier for God and a devout Christian, always helping those in need. She also volunteered for the Columbus Police Academy.
Shirley loved woodworking, painting, and ceramics. She has touched many lives and will be truly missed by her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Laura Jean Hewlett, Roberta Ann Throckmorton, and Lloyd C. Sheridan, Jr. Shirley will be missed by her siblings, Tilden (Skip) Sheridan and Georgia "Jodi" (Greg) Phillips; aunts, Hannah "Doty" Nicely, Joann Carlisle, and Theresa Kincaid; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear and special friend, Dorothy Nesselrode and her son, Bill.
Family will receive friends Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.) Gahanna, OH, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, Rev. Steve Biffle, officiating. Interment Mifflin Cemetery.
