Shirley Jean Shaw

Shirley Jean Shaw, 67, of Columbus, died unexpectedly Friday, November 22, 2013 at home. She was born September 9, 1946 in Pinson Fork, KY to the late Leo and Robena (Ball) Epling. She was retired from Nationwide Insurance after 37 years and was a member of Whitehall United Methodist Church. She loved her grandchildren, spending time with her family, gardening and traveling. She is preceded in death by her life partner Charlie Swain. Shirley is survived by children Jim (Tracey) Shaw and Michele Martin (Richard), grandchildren Ashleigh, Angelica and Amber Martin, siblings Brenda (Fonso) McIntosh, Cody Epling, Gary Epling, Donald (Lora) Epling and Teri Epling, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
