She was preceded in death by son, Jason William Buttes; life partner Diane Doyle Garneau; parents Virginia and Everett Dawson; brother Martin Ashley Dawson; and sister Sally Dawson.
Susi is survived by sons Ronald Martin Dawson of Ohio, Troy Allen Buttes (Valarie) of Colorado and Dale Lamb of Texas; brothers Ronnie, Christopher and Greg; sisters Vickie and Tanya; grandchildren Jason Brohard, Kayla and Hannah Buttes; great grandchildren Angelo and Leo. She is also survived by adopted family Edouard Garneau; Jennifer Hall; Joseph (Pat) Doyle; Robert (Anne) Doyle; Stephen (Mona) Doyle. As well as Aunty Shirley Ashley; nephews Danny Dawson, Rocky (Brittany) Dawson; and a slew of nieces and nephews she may have never met.
Susi would like to bring special mention to a group of friends that bolstered her through one of her darkest times: Roger Powell, Ray (Liz) Bullock, Molly (Bill) Mount, John (Ann) Lodder and many customers and friends she met through Oakland Nursery.
Susi will be laid to rest on December 2, 2024 at Sunset Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.
