Stephen Richard Dougherty

Stephen Richard Dougherty, age 68, of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Pataskala, passed away August 10, 2015 at Homestead Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 25, 1947 in Toronto, Ohio to the late James Dougherty and Bernice Maple; also preceded in death by his brother, William; sister, Betty and brother-in-law Dick Gregory. Steve served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary; sons, Richard and Shawn Dougherty; step-sons, Bill, Richard (Marla) and Michael (Tracy) Oppenheimer; grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Alexandria and Landon; sister, Arlene Gregory and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232, followed by a procession to Glen Rest Memorial Estate for inurnment.
