Stephen Powell

Stephen C. Powell born June 3, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Mildred Powell. He graduated from Whitehall-Yearling High School in 1977 and Eastland Vocational School. Steve retired from Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus after 38 years of employment. He was an active member of the Central Ohio Antique Fire Association and Apparatus Association. He collected antique fire equipment and had his findings proudly displayed in his home. Steve loved to go to Southern Ohio spending his time camping and hunting. He will be remembered for being an amazing person and willing to do anything for anyone and having the ability to repair anything. Preceded by his parents and brother Michael. He will be missed by his wife Robin Mahr Powell, daughter Ryan (Nicholas) Johnston and his three grandchildren Liam, Libby and Gavin. He is also survived by his sister Anne Powell, Jane Koch, Susan (Dale) Lamp and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm, September 1, 2020 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Rd, Gahanna. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Central Ohio Fire Museum, 260 N. 4th Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
