So, I just learned about my friend's passing this morning as I just returned from assignments out of town.  So, simply put, Steve was a wonderful friend and the next door neighbor I got to know over the last 12 years. Steve always watched out for me,  knowing eventually I'd soon get stuck in one or the two ditches that connected our yards. Before I could look up he was already there, set to pull me and mower out of my predicament. Always brought me a portion of his catch after his most recent fishing trips. Always gave me fresh vegetables from his incredible garden.  Would stop what ever he was doing and come over and asked "are you okay," cause he'd see me with a limp or he'd observe me struggling to catch my breathe every now and then. Steve also came with that big smile and after our many talks, we always parted knowing that  we were two guys that had become good friends who cared for and respected one another.   Steve was a great man with a heart of gold.  I will dearly miss my neighbor.  I will dearly miss my Friend.

So sorry for Steve’s family and friends. He will be greatly missed. He was an amazing leader, friend, and go-getter. Blessings and prayers to the family.

Steve was one of the first contractors that I worked with at OSU and one that I came to rely on.  Because of his efficiency, reliability and the quality of his work Steve made my job easy and was a project managers dream.  I’ve missed working with him and Jeff since their retirement and was so sad to hear of his passing.  Sending wishes of peace and comfort to his family and close friends’.

There were so many projects that I worked with Steve on at Ohio State that I can't even begin to count.  I could always count on him for the project to be completed to perfection. 
He made sure it was done right or would tell me I am sending my brother to check it out.  He was a highly respected contractor for the construction office.  I also learned quickly not to call him during his fishing trips, although I think he answered the phone and never told me where he was.  May he rest in peace and thoughts and prayers to his family.

I am very sad to learn of Steve's passing. I have only known him for a few years but he always struck me as a solid individual. No muss and no fuss, what you saw is what you got. I will pray for his family. Gone too soon. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Steve on several projects at OSU. I enjoyed working with him. He always made sure his crew did it right! His attention to detail was evident in the work he did.

I've known Steve both professionally and personally. He was always level headed and fair with everyone I saw him come in contact with. He will be greatly missed. Prayers to his family and friends as we learn of this shocking news.

I always knew Steve to be a very stand up guy and he treated everyone more than fair and was a man of his word! Which is seemingly more and more rare these days as he will be thoroughly missed by all who knew him... RIP my friend I'm honored to have gotten to know you over the years...
