Sue Ellen Burrey

Sue Burrey, a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend died at Riverside Hospital on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 5:20 a.m. with family by her side. Sue is survived by daughters Lisa Hedge and Elizabeth Smith and grandsons Travis Hedge, Tyler Hedge and Trent Hedge. Also surviving are sisters Linda Buroker and Carol Mackey. Sue was born in McComb, Ohio on July 13, 1947 to Gage and Ruth Elizabeth Mackey. Sue grew up in Mt. Victory, Ohio and is a graduate of Kenton High School and the Ohio State University. Prior to retirement, Sue was a Director at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to moving to Columbus, Sue and her husband Dick ran Mackey and Stough furniture with Sue's father Gage. In Mt. Victory, Sue was a member of the Ridgemont School Board from 1978-1982. Services for Sue Mackey Burrey will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Rev. Jim Mehler officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
