Susan Eisele-Pratt

Susan Ann Eisele, age 60, of Gahanna, passed away on April 20, 2019. She was born at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM, on January 8, 1959. She was the second of five children born to Ronald and Marian Eisele. She most recently worked at State Auto Insurance. Previous employers include Nationwide, where she was active with Toastmasters, and Great Clips, where she worked part-time after earning a cosmetology license. She also had fun braiding a young niece's hair with beads and trimming her mother's hair. Susan had a lifelong love of sewing and other crafts and accumulated an impressive collection of fabrics and supplies. One of her longtime projects was organizing the vast collection of family slides. She enjoyed travel and walks in the evening after work to relax. Susan also adored cats and always had a couple. About 10 years ago, Susan became a Christian and joined the congregation of New Life Church in Gahanna. She was grateful to have found the church family she had been seeking. At the church, she met Howard, who became her beloved husband in 2014. In addition to her husband, four siblings survive her: Alice Henderson and husband Paul of France, Thomas Eisele and wife Patty of Westerville, Jennifer Saboley and husband Ed of Worthington and Stella Hopkins of North Carolina. Her nieces and nephews are Aaron, Ava and Aidan Eisele of Westerville, Phoebe Saboley of Worthington and Jennifer Lay, Lindsay Paz and Julia Ernst of North Carolina. She was also a great aunt to Ryan, Evan, Harper, Aiden and Cecilia, who live in North Carolina. Through her marriage to Howard, she became stepmother to Bill Kinniard of Cincinnati, Heather DilSalvo of Hilliard and Amanda McKensie of Gahanna. Per Susan's wishes, there will be no public services. Private cremation entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Life Church. Donations in Susan's memory can be made by calling 614-475-8500.
