Susan F. Workman peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Jesse and Virginia Rockwell Barnes on May 13, 1947.
Sue was well-liked by many and was always willing to help others. She worked at FO Schoedinger's for many years until the store closed. After that, she took a position at Big Bear until that store also shut its doors. Throughout her career, she worked at several other places before retiring from the Westerville Police Department, where she managed records. Sue enjoyed bowling and crafts, and she loved supporting her grandkids at their sporting events.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Virginia Barnes, and her sister Linda LeRoy, who was married to Harry.
She is survived by her brother, Dwight Barnes (Barbara), her daughter Tina (Bobby) Richardson, grandsons Devon, Kyle, Jacob, and future granddaughter-in-law Haylie Rotz. Several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00-7:00PM at ADVANTAGE by SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road in Columbus.
