

Suzanne M. Leslie, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born on March 2 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Curtis and Bette (Caldwell) Merryman. Suzanne spent over 25 years devoting herself to children in need as a social worker for Franklin County. She started with Children's Services and retired from the Juvenile Court Public Defender's office. A devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt, Suzanne is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ken; son and daughter-in-law, Craig Leslie and Ann Shuman; daughter and son-in-law, Stephannie Leslie (Timothy) Ford; sisters, Jill Merryman and Joyce Merryman; nephews, Kevin Rauch and Christopher Merryman; other relatives; her beloved cats, Scarlett and Rhett and many friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Merryman and sister, Beth Rauch. Suzanne was a graduate of Whitehall High School and received her Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Suzanne loved working out with her trainer, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
