Sybil Patricia Norwich, “The Little English Lady of Fancyburg Park”, passed away peacefully at 9 pm on Friday, June 2, 2017. Her courage and commitment in caring for her family, including for many years her husband who suffered from Alzheimer’s, are honored by all who knew her and will echo in our hearts forever. As long as her physical strength permitted, she continued to go on walks to the park and enjoyed nothing more than the conversations she had with her many beloved friends and neighbors. Her loving interest, wise suggestions and sensible solutions enriched the lives of all of us. Now that she has been granted release from the increasingly difficult obstacles she faced, she believed she will be free to watch over us from above. In Christ Jesus’s name, AMEN. Sybil was born March 18, 1927, in Walton-on-the-Naze, England, where she attended All Saints’ Parish Church. She was the daughter of the late George and Sarah Norman. England, as well as her nieces and nephews: June Warner, Eileen Richards, Bill (Jane) Lucking, Pat (Dennis) Baker, Dianne (Paul) Mann, Diana (Peter) Hall and Ann (Mick) Pleace.
