Sylvia I Hammond

Sylvia I Hammond, 89, of Orient, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She was born on January 24, 1927 to the late Robert and Ethel (Godbey) Robinson at Charleston, WV. Sylvia was a member of Sterling Chapter #74 Order of Eastern Star. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin R Hammond; sons Larry and Darrell Hammond; grandson Travis Hammond; sister Lucille Rees; brothers Robert, Cecil, and Ralph Robinson. Sylvia is survived by her sons, Galen Hammond of Orient, OH, Alan (Lois) Hammond of Darbydale; grandchildren, Tonya Wade and Haley; great- grandchildren Savana and Troy. Sylvia's family will receive friends 10-11 AM Monday at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway Grove City, OH. where her funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday.
