Sylvia J. Taylor

Sylvia J. Taylor, age 87, passed away peacefully at Kobacker House on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Sylvia was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 1, 1935 to the late Edward and Josephine (Carr) Huffman. Also preceding in death was her first husband Ronald A. Bianco; second husband Peter N. Taylor; sister Gail Helm; and daughter in-law Manuela Bianco. Sylvia grew up in Grandview Heights, where she attended Catholic School at Our Lady of Victory Church. Later in life, she became the Deputy Registrar for the city of Columbus, a job in which she took great pride. Sylvia loved to read and work in her garden. She especially loved Christmas and the family holiday traditions, which will be passed on to future generations. During her marriage to Peter (who worked for the Ohio Division of Travel & Tourism), the family would camp and take many vacations throughout Ohio. Sylvia will be deeply missed by her loving children Angela Bianco, Eduardo Bianco, Ronnie Bianco, Anne (Timothy) McGhee, and Andria (Steve) Edgington; grandchildren Aileen & Patrick McGhee, Rocco & Gina Bianco, Dino (Aurelia) Bianco, and Aurora and Aidan Edgington; great-grandchildren Michael and Gianna Bianco; faithful companion/pet dog Sassy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
