Sylvia was born in Columbus, OH on December 6, 1943 to the late Elmer Leedom and Edna Barr Leedom Fauber.
Sylvia Graduated from Marion- Harding High School Class of ’61. After high school, she attended the Bliss business school. She started her career with Chemical Abstract and then later retiring from Nationwide Insurance after 15 years of service as an administrative assistant.
Sylvia was a cofounder of the “Web Spinners” 4-H club in 1982 and an active leader in 4-H up until 1992.
She was a pillar of unconditional love and support for her children, grandchildren, and friends. She loved to travel when her health allowed and always had fond memories of Hawaii and Mexico. She selflessly gave of her time and heart to see her children and grand children succeed. Sylvia will always be loved and missed deeply by all her family and friends.
Along with her parents, Sylvia is also preceded in death by her Step father, Carl Fauber; brothers-in law Stephen Bean and Ivor Dangoor.
Sylvia is survived by her daughters Sherrie Wright Rowlison of Columbus, Sheila Wright (Jeff) Lowe of VA; grandchildren, Kaila Wright, Morgan Rowlison, Nathaniel Lowe, and Brian Lowe; sisters Barbara (Eugene) Bean-Slagle of KY, and Carolyn Dangoor of GA. Sylvia is also survived by many other loving nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at the Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, Ohio on Sunday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00am at The Good Shepherd United Methodist Church 6176 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, Ohio, with Pastor Don Wollick officiating. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to Juvenile Diabetes Association.
