

He married Mei-li, his beloved wife of 60 years, and together they built a life rooted in commitment and faith. He left Taiwan to pursue higher education in the United States, earning his master’s degree in civil engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. After completing his studies, his wife and two children, Shawn and Wen, joined him in Louisiana, where they settled in Bossier City and welcomed their third child, Doris, born in Shreveport.
Throughout his long career as a civil engineer with Alliet, Fenner, Jolly & McClelland, he was respected for his strong work ethic, integrity, and precision.
In his later years, he moved to Ohio to live with his oldest daughter, Shawn, where he spent his final year surrounded by family and love.
He is survived by his wife, Mei-li; son, Wen (Felicia); daughters, Shawn (Dennis) and Doris (Joey); and grandchildren, Trey, Ashley, Allison, Jacob, and Kalin. He also leaves behind extended family in Taiwan who loved him dearly.
He was deeply proud of his children and grandchildren, always finding joy in their accomplishments and happiness. He was a good man—steady, kind, and selfless—who worked hard to provide a good life for his family.
He passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 8, 2025, at the age of 86.
A private family service will be held on November 18, 2025 at Schoedinger East.
