Terrie Lou Craig

A funeral service for Terrie Lou Craig, age 61, of Crosby, Texas, formerly of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Hayes officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Terrie was born March 31, 1952 in Newark, Ohio to the late Gather A. and Naomi (Allen) Hayes. Terrie passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her home. Terrie was a homemaker and enjoyed tending her flowers and plants, crafts and cooking. She attended the Christian Life Center.

She is survived by her husband, George S. Craig; son, Kenneth S. (Tammy) Mitchell of Newark; grandchildren, Heather Carpenter, Ashley Mitchell and Kasheana Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Amiyah Carpenter and Ayrah Wolfe; brothers and sisters, Dick Hayes, Jerry Hayes, Betty Fitch, Viola Presley, Joyce Harmon, Debbie Robinson, Bonnie Boyd, Kay Zimmerman and Carol Renner; many nieces and nephews; many friends in Texas; and her faithful companions, her dogs, Katie and Chance.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Charlotte Hayes, Annette Hayes and Helen Decker; and by a brother, Howard Hayes.

Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
