Thaddeus Laurol

Thaddeus Laurol, age 17, died unexpectedly after a car accident on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born September 13, 2000 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Jean Claude and Dieulla “Dee” (Devastey) Laurol. Thaddeus was a senior at Northland High School, where he ran track and played the snare drum in the band. He was a devoted member of Karl Road Baptist Church. He was enlisted in the National Guard where he planned on serving his country after graduating high school. Thaddeus enjoyed playing basketball and was looking forward to learning how to play the guitar. He had a passion for fixing, buying, selling and trading Jordan/Nike shoes. He is survived by loving parents, Jean and Dieulla “Dee” Laurol; beloved sister, Ivana Laurol; grandmother, Julie Devastey and Elizane Paul; Godmother, Gyna O. Jean-Baptiste; Aunt, Marie Elma Laurol; half-sister, Ketia Laurol; half-brother, Robinson Laurol; uncle, Etienne Laurol; along with numerous cousins and other extended family. Family will receive friends Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. A funeral service will take place 10 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Karl Road Baptist Church, 5750 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, where family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Interment Northlawn Memory Gardens in Westerville, Ohio to follow the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Karl Road Baptist Church Benevolence Fund in memory of Thaddeus Laurol.
