Thomas "Tom" Bartoe

Thomas "Tom" Bartoe, age 62, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Mt. Carmel Grove City Hospital. Tom was born May 23, 1959, to the late John "Jack" and Beverly "Jean" Bartoe. He is preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" and Beverly "Jean" (McNabb) Bartoe, brother, John D. Bartoe, his father-in-law, Richard Morbitzer. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Leah, his children, Michael (Chantee) Bartoe, Sarah (Kelly) Grimes, William Bartoe, Christina (Ray Schneider) Bartoe, Matthew Bartoe, Tracy Kelly, grandchildren, Colton and Kylee Bartoe, Dane and Chase Grimes, siblings, Debbie (Joe) Moeller, David Bartoe, Cindy (John) Schemrich, Jeff (Karen) Bartoe, and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Morbitzer, siblings-in-law, Steve (Nancy) Morbitzer,Gary (Mary) Morbitzer, Tina (Dave) Hickman, Ronda (Don) Kelly, and Andy Morbitzer, along with a host of nieces, nephews and his occasional breakfast group at Bob Evans and many other coworkers and friends he made over the years. He was a 1977 graduate of Grove City High School and the Paul C. Hayes Technical School where he studied welding. Tom would enjoy the occasional trip to Michigan to go snowmobiling with friends. He enjoyed being home with his family. In past years he enjoyed baling hay with his family. He was known to be in the shop working along side his boys and helping his family with odd jobs. He enjoyed joking with his family and friends and always had candy readily available for his nieces,nephews and grandchildren when they came to visit. His family will miss him greatly. A visitation will be held for Tom on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 4-8 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3730 Broadway with Father Joe Yokum, Celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1699 W. Mound St. Columbus, OH 43223.
