
Thomas Edward Boyle, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born in Elmira, NY, on November 15, 1947, to the late Dr. Joseph R. and Ann B. Boyle. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Susie (Dobbs) Boyle; beloved children, Kerry (Miranda), Trevor, Cory, and Patrick Boyle; his granddaughters, Hana, Lilly, and Evelyn; brothers, Joseph (Judy), Daniel (Kim), Dr. John (Mary), Bill (Sheila), and Fred (Theresa) Boyle; and sister, Joanne (John) Bills. After graduating from St. Charles Preparatory School in 1965, Tommy earned a Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University in 1969 and was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He then graduated from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1972, cum laude. Practicing law ever since, Tommy was a devoted trial attorney. He loved the law, and will be remembered as hard-working, honest and diligent. He was the current Secretary of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Ohio Chapter; OACTA; IADC, DRI; Lawyers Club of Columbus and recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer. He was the Past President of the Bishop Watterson School Board. Tommy also loved traditions, especially his Tuesday night outings at Claddagh with friends from high school and Friday nights at Morone’s Pizza and Byrne’s Pub with his sons and many good friends. Tommy’s other passions included being a huge fan of Ohio State Football, as well as a voracious reader and perpetual student. He enjoyed his Irish heritage. For all who had the chance to know him, he was deeply loved and appreciated, and his presence will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 12-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 1899 McCoy Road. Fr. Michael B. Watson, Celebrant.
