Thomas "Tom" J. Turner

Thomas J. Turner, born May 14, 1936 and died on June 9, 2022, as a result of medical complications. He received a diploma from Upper Arlington High School in 1954 and a degree in Economics from Ohio State University in 1959, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi, Texnikoi, Romophos and Bucket & Dipper. For sixty-five years he was employed in securities, insurance, banking and logistics. He is survived by his wife Gloria of sixty-two years who together loved and raised three children, living in the same home for fifty-eight years. He is also survived by David and Sara Turner, Michael Turner, and Molly and Greg Balla; and three grandchildren Katie and Jud Turner and Spring Balla; and brothers Dick and Jim and their families. He skied, and played tennis and platform tennis for decades and played until he couldn’t play anymore. He felt fortunate to have lived his life in Ohio, in Columbus, and in his communities and neighborhoods. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Private Family Service will be held at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
