

Timothy W. Howdyshell, 60, of Worthington, passed away on June 11, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 1, 1955 in Nelsonville to Carolyn Howdyshell. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Theda Collins. Tim received his Master's degree from Ohio University, and worked for AEP for over 30 years. He also served as president of the Ohio Dam Safety Organization. Tim loved golf - both watching and playing, the OSU Buckeyes, music and concerts, grilling out, and great food. He was a rock for his family; a supportive, hardworking provider. His love and humor will be greatly missed by his wife of 38 years, Deborah Jo (Collins) Howdyshell; his children James (Jennifer) Howdyshell, John (fiancée Lauren Holbrook) Howdyshell, and Amy (Adam) Horn; his grandchildren Jack Horn and Parker Howdyshell; his brother-in-law Rick (Theresa) Collins; and his father-in-law Dwight Collins. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Tim's life with a funeral service at 6pm Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. Visiting hours will follow the service until 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tim's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org; or the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, www.diabetesohio.org.
