Tom Shannon

Tom Shannon, Sr. Born March 9, 1942, passed away November 17, 2016. Predeceased by parents Cecil and Madge Shannon, brother Leroy Shannon, sisters Geneva Duke and Karen Ryan, and granddaughter Brooke Shannon.

Survived by wife of 49 years Claudette Shannon; sisters Betty Pack of Ashland, KY and Nancy Kemp of Columbus, OH and brother Norris Edward (Louise) Shannon of Columbus, OH; sons Tom Jr (Kristen) Shannon of Grand Rapids, MI, and Troy (Julie) Shannon of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Samantha (Jamie) Kinder of Cincinnati, OH; Katlyn Shannon of Florence, AL; Courtney Shannon of Las Vegas, NV; Troy (Heather) Shannon Jr of Killeen, TX; and Alexandra and Victoria Shannon of Grand Rapids, MI. Also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Tom was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and sang in the Voices of Grace Choir. Retired Sheet Metal Worker Local 24/98 and was maintenance man for Cannongate Apartments and Minerva Park Swim Club. He was an avid OSU Buckeye Fan, a proud graduate of Mifflin High School Class of 1961, and he took great pride in his 1961 Corvette. He was an accomplished oil painter, and photographer, and was past Cubmaster of Pack 423.

Family will receive friends from 4-8 pm, Saturday and Sunday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington. Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Monday, November 21, 2016 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E Schrock Rd, Westerville, OH 43081, where family will receive friends from 10am to the time of service. Interment Blendon Township Cemetery.
