

Trenia graduated third in the class from New Lexington High School in 1987 where she was involved in cheerleading, marching band, and voted most school spirit. Trenia studied biology at OSU before gaining employment at Ross Laboratories as a crew leader. Trenia was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. She loved bowling, rollerblading, OSU sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the outdoors. She loved to take cruises, attend Prince concerts, and eat out (especially at the North Market) with friends and family. Trenia was spirited, independent, a leader, and loved a good laugh. She will be remembered for her strength during this fight, and her genuine, confident, and caring personality.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Minnie Funk and Charles Elekes. Trenia will be missed by her loving parents; brothers, Jamie (Lisa) Elekes and Kevin (Beth) Elekes; nieces and nephews, Kollene, Katie, and Parker; paternal grandmother, Wanda Tate; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including special friends, Denny and Connie Coonan. Family will receive friends Friday, July 1, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow services at Community Gardens Cemetery on S.R. 13 in New Lexington, OH.
