Trevis Matthew Lyon

Trevis Matthew Lyon, age 40, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 23, 2017. He was born April 22, 1977 in Galion, Ohio and spent most of his childhood in Plant City, Florida before returning to Ohio to attend Ashland University, where he played football and completed his bachelor's degree. Trevis spent most of his career with the environmental division of Ashland Inc. He was an avid golfer, a die-hard Gators fan, and a frequent flyer who achieved Million Miler status with Delta. Trevis will forever be remembered for his enormous personality and heart of gold. He is survived by his wife, Diana (nee Oswald); mother, Marla Lyon; father, Jimmie Lyon; uncles, Larry Kelly and Bruce Kelly; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Helen Oswald; sister-in-law, Elise (James) Kitchen; brothers-in-law, Eric (Shannon) Oswald and Anthony (Jennifer) Oswald; several beloved nieces and nephews; extended family and many amazing friends. Family will welcome friends from 5-8pm Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. Funeral Service will be held at 10am Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville, OH 43082. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kobacker House Hospice, 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, OH 43214 in Trevis' memory.
