

V. "Kay" Strahler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on November 21, 1951, to the late Donald E. and E. Venona Jackson, Kay's life was filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family and friends. On April 4, 1981, she married Alan J. Strahler, her loving husband of 44 years, who survives her.
Kay was a devoted mother to her two sons, Rhett Ketter (Michelle) and Benjamin Strahler (Roxana), and a loving "Oma" to her four grandchildren, Chloe, Sadie, Dalynn Ketter, and Caleb Strahler. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Jackson, and her brother, Tim Jackson.
Kay cherished time with her family, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. An avid reader, amazing baker, and talented quilter, she had a passion for people and was known for her delicious homemade cookies and cakes, often baking hundreds of cookies to share during the holidays. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, where she volunteered her time and talents for various community outreach programs.
A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Julianne Smeck, will be held on April 5th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church ELCA, 820 Lilley Ave, Columbus, OH 43205
Kay's warm smile, kind heart, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
